Martin Goldman, well known international film director, writer and artist, has gladly traded the fast track of New York and L.A. for the backroads of Wyoming and New Mexico. His pen & ink/watercolor paintings are distinguished not only by their graphically exciting technique but also by their pointed sensitivity and kind humor.
After working on Madison Avenue as a graphic designer/ illustrator/ cartoonist he went on to become a TV commercial producer/director. His world wide accounts have received many awards including Venice and Cannes Film Festival and numerous Clio's. Mr. Goldman's work is still shown in University film courses.
Mr. Goldman wrote and directed his first feature film, a western, for Paramount Pictures. After directing and producing a number of independent films he returned to his first love - painting and his favorite subject, the West and the American Cowboy...and Cowgirl.
Leaving New York behind he began an odyssey that landed him in Jackson Hole, Wyoming where he became an overnight success as a painter of the modern day rodeo cowboy. His list of collectors indicates that the world literally has beaten a path to his door. His prints have been presented to two American Presidents.
His work can be seen at his studio on the Gorge, Hondo Mesa, just north of Taos.
